How UK Business Energy Broker Charges
Unlike most brokers, I charge clients directly, instead of hiding commission in unit rates.
UK Business Energy Broker works directly for its clients and is paid directly by them.
For most contracts, we agree a fixed commission amount before any agreement is signed. This ensures you know exactly what you are paying for our services, with no hidden uplifts built into supplier pricing.
Once the contract goes live, the agreed commission is invoiced directly to the client.
For multi-year contracts, commission is spread across the contract term. For example, a £1,200 commission on a three-year agreement will be invoiced as £400 when the contract begins, £400 at the start of Year 2, and £400 at the start of Year 3.
This keeps costs predictable, transparent, and aligned with the contract duration.
Supplier Uplift (Large Commercial Contracts)
On large commercial or bespoke supply contracts, suppliers require a small brokerage uplift to be included within the unit rate.
Where this applies, the uplift is minimal (e.g. 0.1p/kWh) and is always disclosed clearly before any agreement is completed.
We do not permit undisclosed commission to be added to contracts.
Additional Consultancy Work
Where work falls outside standard brokerage services, such as complex billing investigations, dispute resolution, site connections, or specialist project work, this will only be undertaken following agreement of a separate consultancy fee.
No additional charges are ever applied without prior client approval.
How Energy Bills Are Paid
UK Business Energy Broker never collects energy bill payments on behalf of suppliers.
All energy usage charges must always be paid directly to the contracted energy provider.
If you are ever asked to pay energy charges via a third party claiming to act on our behalf, please contact us immediately.
