Fees

How I charge

Unlike most brokers, I charge clients directly rather than hiding commission in the unit rates.

For most contracts, I agree a fixed commission with you before anything is signed, so you know exactly what you're paying for my service, with no hidden uplifts in the supplier's prices. Once the contract goes live, I invoice the agreed commission directly.

For multi-year contracts, the commission is spread across the term. For example, £1,200 commission on a three-year agreement is invoiced as £400 when the contract starts, £400 at the start of year 2 and £400 at the start of year 3.

Supplier uplift (large commercial contracts)

On some large commercial or bespoke contracts, the supplier requires a small brokerage uplift to be included in the unit rate. Where this applies, it's minimal (for example, 0.1p/kWh) and always disclosed before anything is agreed. I never allow undisclosed commission to be added to a contract.

Additional consultancy work

Work outside standard brokerage, such as complex billing investigations, dispute resolution, site connections or specialist projects, is only undertaken once a separate consultancy fee has been agreed. No additional charges are ever applied without your prior approval.

How energy bills are paid

I never collect energy bill payments on behalf of suppliers. All energy charges are paid directly to your contracted supplier. If anyone claiming to act on my behalf asks you to pay energy charges through them, please contact me immediately.
